Our problem was having no control of the lift. It either pumps oil or dumps oil or both through the control valve. / MF 135 hydraulic adjustment 2 C cattlefarmboy New member Joined Messages 3 Location Gainesville, GA Tractor Kubota 5140 loader We went through that 5 months ago with our 135. The hydraulic system is influenced by the mechanics of the lift cover. (that is upwards if the top cover is flipped upside down). Make sure the lift arms are in the fully lowered position. The round lever exactly over where it says ‘FAST’, the square lever next to where it says ‘DRAFT’ between the two dots and exactly where the arrow is. A further check is to set the POS lever at about half way and have an assistant lift the 3-point linkage by hand. Make sure quadrant levers are set at their sector marks. If everything is working the pump lever should respond in the same way as above. Place the DRAFT lever in the raised position and operate the POSITION Control lever. The oil in the ram cylinder returns through the same standpipe & dumps. When the DRAFT lever is lowered the pump lever is pushed forwards. When the operator places the lever in the down position the lift covers mechanism closes the pumps control valve and the pumps pressure is dumped back into the diff housing. When oil enters the ram cylinder it forces the piston forward and the arms are raised. The oil flows up through the standpipe between the pump & lift cover. When using the Draft function, the Position lever is usually near the top, and when. You set the lever at a suitable location and it will let the hydraulic system 'feel' the load on the tractor and adjust the height of the plough to keep it from overloading the tractor and losing grip. Massey Ferguson: 35, 35x, 65,135, Manufacturer Part No.(s) Massey Ferguson. The Draft Control is used when you are ploughing the soil. The hydraulic lift cover mechanism is influenced by the operator using the draft & position control levers, an implements pulling or pushing force on the toggle spring & the upward or downward movement of the lift cover arms. Four pistons moving back & forth suck oil in through the chambers and push it out through the same chamber outlet valves. It either pumps oil or dumps oil or both through the control valve. When the tractors engine is running the hydraulic pump operates continuosly getting its drive from the transmission PTO output shaft.
